When I listened to BENEATH THE OLYMPIAN SKIES for the first time, I was driving in my car from downtown in the evening. And as I listened to the title track ... I cried. Tears rolling down my cheek. It was that perfect piece of eternal music that simply quieted my heart and released all kinds of energy.
Since then I've listened to the album about five times. Not so much listened ... as let it wash over me, comforting me, exciting me and thrilling me with it's flow.
-- Dean
This is the best music I have EVER listened to. I gave my last copies to a friend to listen to, and she never returned them, then moved away. I have given several away as gifts. What a gift God has given you! May God Bless you RICHLY in your life.

Cape of Good Hope makes
a very classy artistic statement. Good songs and attractive arrangements.
Very genuine.

Jim Wilson's Northern Seascape is a delicately woven
romantic classic, a magical, musical carpet ride of melodic
beauty.
-- Carole King
Beautiful, melodic, emotional, delicious music...
-- David Crosby
Northern Seascape is a beautiful and inspiring work. I highly
recommend it.
-- Dan Fogelberg
It's a beautiful, soothing and soulful album filled with a lot
of love and an abundance of spirit.
-- Dave Koz
It's not everyday that you can listen to an album and through
the music, really get the true essence of the artist behind
the songs. Jim Wilson is a warm, wonderful and compassionate
person, and those attributes can be heard in every note of "Northern
Seascape". It's a beautiful, soothing and soulful album filled
with a lot of love and an abundance of spirit. It was a true
honor (and a whole lot of fun) to be a part of "Mon Ami Eternel"
a loving tribute to our mutual friend, Claude Gaudette. Congratulations
and much continued success.

Wow! You just get better and better! I have (I think) all of your CDs so far, and I love using them to calm the frenetic pace of my stressful workplace ... your music takes me away from the momentary chaos and into a very peaceful place. I have given your CDs to friends, and the response I get, overwhelmingly is: THANK YOU! Your music is a complex combination of powerful and serene ... you can quiet the mind but charge the soul. What a gift you have!
Jim, Cape of Good Hope and A Place In My Heart are wonderful! With each, the minute I listened to the first cuts I knew I would love them just as much as Northern Seascape. There’s a joy in your compositions that flows from your blood and bones through your heart and onto the keyboard. That’s what touched me most in your music. Even your saddest songs have a note of hope in them.
Hello Jim
Wilson: I want to let you know that I received Sanctuary
today in the mail. It will be a favorite to me as are your three
other CD's. Thank you for the autograph. I will treasure this
forever! I have listened to your music every day when I am at
work for over two years now and have a copy of each your CDs
in my home. God Bless You Always - I think he has already with
your great talent! Sincerely
-- Donna

Dear Jim, My boyfriend bought "Cape of Good Hope"
for me because of the song "Donna Lynn". He has several
of your cds, and I will be owning more myself! He discovered
you on a special on TV a couple of years ago. We were not dating
at the time - we had previously dated in the late '80s. Soon
after he showed up on my doorstep last August, he bought this
cd for me, charming me with the story of seeing you on TV and
hearing this song and finally admitting to himself that he had
never stopped loving me! Hey! You could write a movie based
on this sappy little story about how your beautiful song of
confession changed a man's life!!! Kindest Regards
--Donna

My name is
Angela and Im a graduate student in the field of communication
at the University of Colorado at Denver. I just wanted to write
you to say how much I LOVE your music. It is truly unlike anything
Ive ever heard before. I particularly enjoy listening
to it while Im writing papers for school because it feels
soothing without making me sleepy and it isnt distractive.
I love your music and hope that you wont stop composing.
--Angela Y.
Don't ever
forget, my friend, how your music touches people, making a difference
in the lives of all who find their way to it. It settles in
that place where we all strive to live from. If only for a moment,
it sets the spirit free, giving us the courage, strength, inspiration,
and peace to carry on in this insanity.

It's been
almost two years since I got Jim's CDs when he was in Denver.
And I've listened to them at least 6 evenings out of seven ever
since. I would love so much to see him perform live.

"My First Christmas With You" is now one of my favorite
Christmas cd's. Your music always sends me pleasant visions,
and sometimes even a walk down memory lane. I am so glad you
decided to do a Christmas cd. :) Happy Holidays my friend!

I read the
feedback page on Jim's site. I'm overwhelmed at the comments
and how they summarize my emotions as well. After listening
and watching him perform I have even more appreciation for his
music. He puts so much heart and soul in his music you can't
help but become a part of it as well. Thanks for letting me
be a part of it.

I had the
happy accident a month or so ago to hear what turned out to
be "Northern Seascape" playing in a little curio shop
I was browsing through up in the mountain town of Julian near
my home in San Diego. I was so taken with the quiet power of
the music that I completely abandoned my shopping and just stood
and listened to the whole CD all the way through - twice, in
fact (much to the dismay of the shop owner, I suspect.......).
Despite my failure to spend any money in the shop, the owner
was kind enough to give me the website address from the CD cover,
and I immediately went home, logged on, and ordered not only
"Northern Seascape", but "Cape of Good Hope",
and as a hopeless Christmas "music-aholic", I also
ordered what has turned out to be the most amazing Christmas
music I think I've ever heard - "My First Christmas With
You" (I may wear that one out before making it to December
25th........). All are now among my most constant musical companions,
and I suspect will be for a long time to come.
As a newly
converted fan of this beautiful music, I just wanted to say
"thank you" for sharing your gift. I wasn't blessed
with the ability to create such beauty, but I can fully appreciate
and thoroughly enjoy what you have given to all of us. In case
you ever wonder, it does make a difference. Please don't stop
creating........
-- P.H.
I was doing
some shopping at Lakeline Mall in Austin on December 1st and,
as I was preparing to leave, I heard the most captivating music!
I followed the beautiful melodies to where Jim was performing
and felt so lucky to be there at just the right time! There
was no hesitation on my part before purchasing the set of 4
cd's! I waited to open them until I went to work on Monday morning,
and listened to each in turn. Oh! Such beautiful music! And
so relaxing! I don't remember another Monday when I was so stress-free!!
Thank you, Jim, for sharing your music with us!!

Stephen Bishop's website:
"Hey Bish Fans, Scott (yes, Scott from the Bishtro) just
turned me onto a somewhat unknown Bish tune titled "Donna
Lynn" - it's on Jim Wilson's cd titled "Cape of Good
Hope" (available on amazon). In any event, if you guys
haven't heard this song - you're really missing out -- i've
been listening to it (on repeat) for two straight days now .
. . . . incredible/beautiful full production with strings, cello,
french horn, grand piano, etc. -- beautiful love song. "
Last Christmas,
my mom bought me one of your CDs. I play it alllllllll the time,
sometimes several hours in a day. Why? Because my clients really
love it. I am a massage therapist, and this music is refreshing
in that it isn't too 'New Agey' for massage. We are pretty desperate
for music that doesn't involve crystals, chanting, or astral
planes. Thanks for the music.
-- Kathy
Thank you so much for fantastic brilliant Cape of Good Hope!!!
Touch your creation was invaluable discovery for us. Really,
incredibly powerful impression! Thank You for Your magic, for
piece of Your heart, contained in Your wonderful, clear and
clean music. Much friendly love from Siberia!

I received
my CDs in the mail on the same day that I received three nature
sounds CDs. I had ordered Northern Seascape and Cape
of Good Hope, not realizing what a gold mine I had received.
I put all five into my CD player and sat back to listen. Since
I alternated the nature sounds with the wonderful musical tributes,
it sounded like the two blended together as tributes to one
another. And I thought Dan Fogelberg was the only artist that
could do that: Like the song that the darkness composes to worship
the light. ("Nether Lands") Thanks, Jim!

I just re-visited
your site, Jim, and am so proud to know your work. You are musically
inspiring and the notes that come from your fingers to our hearts
are everlasting memories. I look forward to the time when you
are world-renowned and I can say, "I remember when."
-- Jem W.
I just received
my first two Jim Wilson CDs in the mail. As it plays gently
along the edges of my imagination, I am lifted, upwards and
out. And I've only listened to half of the vision on this small
silver disc. Thank you, Jim.
-- Jan
Congratulations!
It's about time the album [Cape] climbed the charts. I've nearly
worn my copy out already, which is the same treatment "Northern
Seascape" received from me.

Just wanted to tell you an interesting story. My son (14 yr
old) has been going to camp at Skylake Yosemite for the past
few years in the summer. This year when we picked him up, he
had one of your CD's...he actually found it under the bunk in
his cabin. Probably left by one of the previous campers. He
said that he listened to it and liked it (which is strange for
a kid that's into alien ant farm, incubus, linkin park, etc.).
At first he listened out of curiosity, then began to like it.
Maybe you should continue this campaign!

I met
you several years ago in Boise Idaho. You were at the mall playing
for your CD promotion. I just wanted to let you know that your
CD is one of my all time favorites and I listen to it about
everyday. Ever since I got it, it's been the only music I can
listen to and concentrate on what I'm doing. It has helped me
through some really stressful times and has helped me sleep
when I wouldn't. Anyway, thank you very much! Your music has
been a big help to me and has helped give me great inspiration
in my life towards music. I know you don't remember me but I
will always remember you and your music. God Bless.

About three years ago, I bought NORTHERN SEASCAPE. I actually
have one of the original pressings. A true collector's item!
I bought it on blind faith. Had NO idea what to expect. I was
amazed as Jim's artistry is astounding. The melodies are very
soothing and take me to a safe place emotionally. A welcomed
relief from the angst in this world. Additionally, I have had
the pleasure of meeting Jim. He was very gracious and made me
feel at ease. Come to think of it, I guess the music is a reflection
of its composer!
-- Claire
The only music I can play while I am busy recruiting actuaries
is yours. Your CD's bring me such enjoyment. Hope all is well
with you. These are some amazing times, Jim. Be well and God
Bless.
-- Roberta M.
"Picasso's Midnight Stroll" - The feeling I get from this song,
is a bit haunting, but yet a very sensuous melody. The vocal
arrangement of Dan Fogelberg is almost hypnotizing. Jim has
brought a vivid feeling to this song with his amazing touch
of the keys. You can almost smell the rose petals... and see
the flickering of the candles. The accordion adds a special touch...
Harmonious, breathtaking and sexy.

I purchased your album, "Cape of Good Hope," and I'm absolutely
enamored by the musicianship, and arrangements. I'm a musician
myself, and appreciate your efforts and passion. Thanks! My
wife and I play your music as we drift off to sleep at night,
and it's an inspiration to us. Keep up the great work of recording
your talents to share with the world.
-- Peter
I am a music teacher. I have been around music all of my life.
I have spent my life learning about and performing music. Never,
though, have I ever heard the quality and touching, no moving
music that Jim has crafted. This is truly modern art music,
but yet it is more. It is totally undefinable, yet palpably
real. Thank God that I have found these CDs. Thank you very
much, Jim, you make the world a better place for all of us.
-- Jason Elwell
We have moved from Amarillo to Estes Park, Colorado. We were
listening to KUNC (NPR Station) and they were broadcasting "Hearts
of Space." The played four cuts from "Cape of Good Hope." What
was neat was that we recognized the music before they back-announced
the artist. As always, we wish you every success.

Anne and Gordon Slack
I
feel so blessed to have stumbled upon Jim's music through his
collaborations with Dan Fogelberg. Individually they are wonderful
artists whose music touches the heart and soul. Together they
are even more formidable. I can't imagine now what my daily
routine would be without Jim's gentle, soothing, inspiring music
-- it lifts my spirits and calms me during hectic times. I am
pleased to own all of his work and look forward to many more
projects to come. Jim, thank you for sharing your talent and
gifts with us all. You have my fullest admiration and support.
-- Deborah
Received the CD and listened to it (twice, actually), and, at
the risk of sounding like some kind of Groupie, it was incredible!
The songs are beautifully crafted and arranged, full without
feeling overproduced or orchestrated, and each evoked a poignant,
if not bittersweet emotion. I especially enjoyed the blending
of "Anna's Blue Skies" seemlessly into "Restless Sea." Also,
the Midi Piano sample that you used on "Laura's World" was gorgeous.
My 8 month old daughter even took notice, which, trust me, is
more difficult than getting your picture on the cover of Rolling
Stone! You not only have a gift, but are using that gift
to a great potential. Take Care
-- Eric
Jim, I met you once up at Lake Arrowhead, when you were at a
weekend fair. Since, I have thoroughly enjoyed "Cape of Good
Hope" and "Playing Favorites". I recently had surgery and my
Mom came up to help me and as we have sat and rested and talked
we kept playing "Cape of Good Hope" over and over, still, have
yet to tire of it and we commented to ourselves that there has
never been a CD we have listened to so long and still want to
hear it over and over. I think there are healing qualities to
it, as it has been much a part of my recovery. The Lord Bless
you as you continue to share your gift and talent with many!
My Mom is looking forward to her own copy of "Cape of Good Hope",
and we are going to try out "Northern Seascape" Thanks again.
-- Shirley
Myself and 3 other friends, driving from Tulsa, Oklahoma to
San Antonio, Texas had rented a car that had a CD player, but
we didn't have a CD to play until we met my niece along the
road in Austin. Then we played your music continuously. We all
agreed with Deborah that your music is so wonderful to listen
to...doing anything anytime. I'm so glad she introduced us to
your music.
-- Lea
Jim, your music calms me. It quiets my
mind so I can listen more closely to my heart. You keep playing,
I'll keep listening.
--
Laurie W.
Jim's music is Relaxing, Refreshing, and Romantic. A truly
gifted Artist, Jim's music touches your heart and soul.
I am looking forward to future recordings. Thanks Jim, for sharing
your talents with us all. All the best

...
it's exquisitely beautiful. The writing is very evocative of
the titles... One definitely goes on a cinematic journey listening
to these tracks. Your delicate touch and rubato phrasings are
quite impressive.
-- David Campbell
... A definite
100 out of 10. The sound of the record is excellent and there
is a depth to the music that is lacking in much of the others
in this field and style.
--
David Goldblatt
It's a feast, my friend, a feast. I love your CD. Unequivocally
love your CD. You should be enormously proud and happy and I
hope your sales are through the roof. It's spectacular, I'm
feasting on it!! It's rich my friend, rich!! Bravo!!
--
Sandy Faison
I am so in awe of "Northern Seascape".
The melodies are just beautiful. They went right where I want
them to go, but they weren't predictable. I love the playing,
I love the arrangements; everything. I'm loving it so, so much,
and I don't love a whole CD very often.
--
Harriet Schock
Wow! Congratulations! You've effectively
created a whole new category of music. It's not exactly New
Age, folk, Celtic or pop. It's more a unique combination of
all of the above. How about "Eclectic Cinematic Instrumentals"?
-- Johnathan Willis
...You have an Americana-vibe mixed with
hip voicings. Sort of Stephen Foster meets David Foster... Northern
Seascape is a great piece of art!
--
J.J. Cox
Jim Wilson's artistry and creativity shine
brilliantly in "Northern Seascape". It is a masterpiece. Thoughtful
and caring themes invite repeated listening to expressions of
love, tenderness, and pure yearning for the infinite.
-- Lillian Doyle
Finally!! "New Age" music with harmonic and melodic content!!
This is a Grammy Winner for sure. Your melodies are incredibly
strong, yet very accessible. Whenever I buy CD's these days,
I usually like just one or two songs. I love every song!
-- Harold White
I've heard a lot of piano CD's recently.
None however, demonstrated the sensitivity and emotion you so
artistically express in each performance.
--
Justin Wilde
The key element that elevates Jim's music
from that of others is, simply, taste; a keen ear for what is
beautiful, and the ability to achieve it, directly and economically.
-- Mark Gregory
I'm a masseur and I've been playing it for everyone of my sessions;
it's absolutely perfect for that. People always ask me about
the music, which they've never done with other music I've played
before... It has a very calming effect, without being soporific.
It's very spiritual, yet it has substance. ...profoundly healing.
Well done!!
-- Larry Worrell
I've been meaning to tell you, I've been
trying to pick a favorite song from Northern Seascape, and every
time I pick one, and then I listen to it again (and I've probably
listened to it about 20 times!!), I choose a different song
the next time. I love them all!
--
Carolyn Blanchard
Chocolate, candles and Jim Wilson coming
off the speakers and women just don't stand a chance. It evokes
great imagery, I'm sure people have told you. It's soundtrack-type
material.
-- Scotty Dugan
I love Northern Seascape and I want to
get more albums by you. And I asked in all the records stores
I go in when they're going to get more. Please send me a catalog...
-- Patricia Kochell
Everybody that's heard it really likes
it. I think it's really wonderful, I've enjoyed every minute
of it, and my girlfriend is crazy about it too! So congratulations
on a great job.
-- Neil
Newport
I want to tell you that your album is
outstanding from start to finish. People need to hear your stuff.
You should be extremely proud.
--
Scott Frankfurt
The CD is so beautiful. As a matter of
fact, my mom and sister confiscated it so, I need to buy a few
more!!!
-- Page Bogard
I put it on at my work on my personal
CD player on my desk, and the person in the workstation came
over immediately and asked "What is that?! It's incredible!"
-- LaRue Martin
I just had to write you because I just
listened to your record 2 times in a row, and it really is a
fantastic record. It's really beautiful; you did a great job
in the writing, the arranging, and the production of it. And
sonically, it's incredible.
--
Doanne Perry
It really is a pleasure to listen to;
it's so full of emotions and life. I can feel your soul in it.
Thank you so much.

"Music that is honest, passionate and

and the production.

"Cape of Good Hope is like a suite, or a symphony, rather than a compilation of individual cuts. Etheria brought tears to my eyes. I'd love to be able to play that one note-for-note, it's so beautiful. Thanks for the gift of such beauty!"
